All Stars
Each year, Center Township selects a group of players in each league (12U and below) to participate in our summer All-Star program. These teams will showcase the hardest working and most talented players in our organization, providing them with the opportunity to compete against other all-star teams in the area. Throughout the summer tournaments, these skilled young athletes will not only display their talents on the field but also experience teamwork, sportsmanship, and the joy of competition. We're proud to support their growth and development in baseball and beyond!

2025 Player Selection Process
Each age group manager will determine the number of players that will be on their All-Star roster, including alternates. Each prospective All Star will be evaluated based on 3 primary criteria:
-
Current year performance (observed in spring training)
-
Prior season performance
-
Player Skill Assessment (Evaluation to divide teams for Spring season and/or All-Star tryout date)
While it is not mandatory to attend a formal tryout to be placed on a team (i.e. player is out of town, injured, etc.), it is STRONGLY recommended to allow coaches to evaluate all players against their peers.
All parents of individuals interested in All-Stars will be contacted by the manager and notified of his/her child’s results by 4/30/25.
Player Skill Assessment Dates:
-
7U/8U Spring League Evaluation - Monday, March 24 5:30-6:30 (Shetland), 6:30-8:00 (Pinto)

CTAA will use the age cut off of 4/30 for the tournament teams. Whatever age your child is on 04/30/25 is the age group they will play with for the 2025 All Star season.

*10U Mike MacDonald

Fees:
-
The All-Star season has a registration fee of $100. This fee covers uniforms, tournament registration fees, and home tournament expenses (umpires, balls, trophies, etc.). Alternates will be charged $50.
Scheduling:
-
Availability for 3-4 Weekend Tournaments, played between mid-June and early August. Most tournaments will be within 45 minutes of CT. Some teams may play a fall tournament.
-
Once rosters are finalized, managers will do their best to schedule tournaments to minimize schedule conflicts (player vacations & events), but there are no guarantees.
-
Center Township will host one tournament at each age group. For the home tournament, parents will be required to help with field maintenance, hanging banners, clean up, and manning the concession stand.
-
Practice times are typically scheduled for immediately after 6:00 PM weeknight games.
Competitive Baseball:
-
All Star baseball is competitive. While player safety and a fun experience will always be at the top of our priority list, winning is not far behind.
-
Competitive baseball means that playing time and opportunities to play all of the positions are not guaranteed. The coaching staff will field the most competitive lineup they can come up with. Playing time and fielding positions will be earned during practices and game play.
